Trust team tackle the Three Peaks Challenge

Trust team tackle the Three Peaks Challenge

On Saturday 1st July 2023 a team from The Ricky Casey Trust will attempt to complete one of Britain's toughest hiking tests — the National Three Peaks Challenge.

An eight-strong team (trustee Lee McAllister, Wayne Orme, John Paul Ratcliffe, Marcus Walker, Bobby Fulham, Jeffrey Cheetham, Tom Ingell and Mark Nilsen) will aim to reach the tops of Britain's three tallest mountains: Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales.

To complete the challenge they must summit all three peaks in 24 hours — no small feat considering they will be walking more than 26 miles and around 3,000m of total elevation.

The walk will raise awareness of the Trust's work to further research into Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC), as well as raising more vital funds to support those suffering from the disease.

The Trust is currently looking for any sponsors or donations towards their challenge. Any donations or support towards the walk will be greatly received.
