Three Peaks challenge completed

At the start of July a team from The Ricky Casey Trust set about trying to complete one of the UK's most gruelling physical tests: the National Three Peaks Challenge. And we're pleased to announce that they passed with flying colours.

The eight-strong team completed the mammoth walk in 23 hours, 29 minutes and 19 seconds, and we think it's safe to say they didn't enjoy the experience at all! But we're so pleased they did, as they've raised more than £4,000 for the Trust, as well as further raising awareness of our work.

Thank you for the countless messages of support from loved ones and friends when the lads found it tough.

The day after the walk, trustee Lee McAllister said: “This morning I am broken but with a warm heart and a huge smile. I'm proud to be a part of this, remembering a brilliant man.”

We'd also like to thank two of our patrons — Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Kevin Sinfield — for their amazing words of encouragement.
