Lee's road to Wembley

Lee's road to Wembley

Trustee Lee McAllister never stops. Not only is he a great friend and a massive asset to the charity, he was one of Ricky's very close friends. Lee is now in the swing of his training in memory of Ricky. To raise vital funds for The Ricky Casey Trust Lee will be walking from Springhead FC to Wembley Stadium.

The walk will start from Springhead's clubhouse on Sunday 18th September at 11am and finish on Monday 26th September on Wembley Way before the England vs Germany game. The walk is 210 miles across 9 days. Thanks to Leeds Beckett Uni for planning the route for us and the Hilton Hotel Group for supporting us.

Day 1 — 27.11 miles. Day 2 — 27.76 miles. Day 3 — 31.5 miles. Day 4 — 26.7 miles. Day 5 — 18.6 miles. Day 6 — 21.03 miles. Day 7 — 20.91 miles. Day 8 — 26.73 miles. Day 9 — 19.9 miles.

The charity now has a clear target of raising £500,000 for clinical trials to work towards finding successful treatments for Renal Medullary Carcinoma which took Rick's life. We currently stand at just under £100,000 so every penny is vital. In addition we hope the walk will create more awareness around RMC and what the charity can help with.

If anyone would like to get involved please contact us. Any donations or support towards the walk will be greatly received.
