Ellis takes his marathon to the other side of the world
Ellis (Trust founder Nicola's son) and his three friends took part in the Perth marathon to raise funds for The Ricky Casey Trust. Between them they collected over £1,700!
In Ellis's words: “I miss Ricky daily and my aim is of course to raise as much money as I possibly can to try and find a cure for this awful disease and save lives, so people won't ever have to go through what all of us went through. And I feel I can do my bit by running!”
His friends didn't know Ricky, but were inspired by Ellis and could see how much Ricky was loved and what great things the charity was doing. They all smashed it even in the 26ºC heat, Ellis finishing in a time of 3 hours 45 mins.
