Becky Morris completes the Colour Obstacle Rush

Becky Morris, the daughter of much-loved local journalist Tony Morris, was all smiles after completing the Colour Obstacle Rush in memory of her late father.

Becky chose to raise money for The Ricky Casey Trust in her father's memory. Tony Morris died in August 2020 at the age of 57.

Speaking about the event, which took place in London on 20th May 2023, Becky told Granada Reports: “It involves numerous paint pellets and bombs and different things getting thrown at me as I run around this obstacle course.

“[My dad] would be really laughing that this is what I'm doing, but also very proud of me for actually getting up and doing it.”

It was such an honour for us to be chosen by Becky, and to meet her and learn about her journey, and how the charity has become close to her heart.

Becky's efforts raised more than £2,000 for the Trust, and we would like to say a massive thank you to her for her fundraising efforts, and also to Lucy Meacock and the Granada Reports team for having us on the show to talk about Becky's challenge and our charity work.

Thanks also to everyone who donated.
